I have 8 1/2 EEEE feet. Order a 9 X-wide. Fit nicely in width and, as expected, was a bit long, but ordering a 1/2 size up is necessary for my Fred Flintstone-like feet. Ordered at the last minute prior to a vacation so there was no time to break them in. Fortunately, they didn't need it. Hiked for four hours in a cave, some of it submerged chest-high in water. Comfortable the whole time; no blisters. Air dryed for a day. Wore them hiking again the following day and they were still in great shape. Excellent tread. Trade off for the high-build quality and tread is weight. They are heavy but worth it.
