I was not familiar with Georgia Boots and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of these boots. I have a pair of Chippewas that have held up well, but I wanted a snake boot with a zipper. I have large calves and it can be difficult to stuff my pants leg into my old boots. I ordered my standard boot size in a wide width. The Georgia snake boots were not too wide and actually a bit snug, but the boot size was true. I especially like the pull loop on the back of the boot, which helps pull them onThe zipper is metal and well made. The inner portion behind the zipper is made with the same snake proof material, which would allow the boots to be worn unzipped. The soles seem to be well made and boot is very comfortable. The uppers are just a fraction shorter than my Chippewas, as seen in the photos. I wore the boots this weekend on a South Texas dove hunt and they worked well. I recommend.I'm lucky to have several large outdoor retailers within five miles of my house. So I was able to physically look at and try on a half dozen snake boots from different manufacturers before purchasing these boots. Pros: These boots were the best in construction, quality and comfort. True to correct sizing and perfect wear right out of the box. No break in nessisary for me. I like the tan /brown leather natural look verses camo if I want to wear them working or riding outdoors. Metal, durable, smooth zipper. Probably middle of the road in weight. Nice pull on loops.Cons: Could be an inch or two taller. There's no rear kleat to assist in slipping them off. I have to sit down and pull them off. There's no strap to hold down zippers. They do make a little noise when walking. I put mole skin on mine. They are water resistant.... not waterproof!!! No such thing as a non rubber, waterproof boot. Plain and simple. Especially when stiched and constructed of different materials. Manufacturers make these claims to keep up with the competition. Knowing this, the boots performed as expected. I conditioned the leather with mink oil and sprayed the uppers with waterproofing spray. That with a pair of waterproof socks and my feet are warm and dry all day long. Dry out the boots with a boot dryer or fan after use. These boots are a good buy that will last a long time if you take care of them properly.Got my boots quick, fit perfectly.Haven't gotten them in water yet but they wear just as I hoped they would, little snug at the boot tops but I have extra large calls, zipped up good and so far haven't got bitten around the living room but vipers are present! These boots are comfortable and the quality seems to be good as well. They run slightly bigger than what I was expecting, but otherwise I have no complaintsThese fit great and are a pleasure to wear. I live in a rural area with its share of copperheads and timber rattlers. These offer some protection and reassurance when working in potentially snake inhabited areas. In any event, they are very comfortable and are quickly becoming my favorite boot.Nice! Going to use them for my next outdoor adventureToe is hardened. The left boot was too short as a result of this extremely hard toe box. I had to return which is unfortunate as this is a very nice product. The seller did a wonderful and speedy job getting these boots shipped and for that I am grateful. The shaft of these boots are HUGE. They are easily twice the size of my leg. Very poor design by the Georgia Boot Company. I have average size calfs and these boots clearly were not designed for me. These boots were designed for the obese.
