Polare is an Italian leather object maker. They are on their 3rd generation, if I get that right. They make very good quality leather goods and other goods as well. For most products they provide a bag to store the leather item in so it minimizes damage from UV light coming in from windows as one example. The leather bags are made with quality Italian leather. They are leather craftsmen and every piece is well thought out.One example is the clasp used to attach the strap to the bag. It is secure but also very easy to remove. IMHO many companies could learn from Polare to use hardware that makes it easy on the customer. The bag I received is black, I know it looks brown , due to the light I was in when I took the pictures. My apologies. The zippers are robust. I have owned and used a Polare briefcase for many years and it is still going strong. This will likely last a long time as well. It does use a magnetic clasp to hold the front flap that has an integrated pocket. This should work fine so long as you don't overpack every compartment in this bag. The secondary compartment can hold pens and pencils and a calculator or a phone and it has a loop to hold something else, such as keys. It depends on what you plan to use it for. They have a leather wrap on the handle. This will lengthen the lifetime of the bag with a very simple addition. Attention to quality is one of their major strengths.I always try to provide some feedback and I actually have three suggestions to improve this bag but I am probably too critical. As it is, it is very nice and better than most bags put out by competitors. Mainly because they listen to their customers if they make suggestions for improvements. Here are my suggestion, First the bag is just a little too small. Another half inch bigger would work. I know they targeted the IPad but they should look at other devices such as the Remarkable Tablet, the Boox Note Air C, the Supernote and all the other notetaking and book reading devices that are coming out. I personally have the Boox Note Air 3C. It fits but it is very tight. So just a little bigger for the main compartment. I also believe it would make it just a little easier to use if the main compartment had a two zipper system as it would then be easier to access the main compartment. The final suggestion is the that the main compartment should have some type of strap system to hold the main item securely so it doesn't accidentally fall out. I know this is a low probability use case, but there you go.Other than the three suggestions, this is close to a perfect bag. You can keep this in your briefcase so if you are in a meeting you can lug your tablet or note taking device with you and leave your briefcase in the meeting room. I often have had to do this exact thing in meetings myself to using this small messenger bag that way is one good option. Regardless, even it it can be improved, it is a very nice and well thougth out messenger bag and undoubtedly it will last a long time.
